After having attended six weeks of course on “The Integral Training of Early Formators” in NRC what has been my experience is that, NRC is oriented towards the mission of Christ that is to give life in abundance. All the programmes that are held here in NRC promote holistic growth of a person where a person grows in the aspect of body, mind, soul and spirit and eventually his or her life becomes life giving for the others.

The Navjivan, a Jesuit Renewal Centre at 4, Rajniwas Marg, Delhi is a new initiative in the realms of Psycho-Spiritual and Socio-educational endeavours. The Institute is still in its infancy though the said services gel well and deliver in most Jesuit Institutions all over the world. It has relevant Research material, an excellent library as well as erudite Resource Personnel. One does feel assured that he is not venturing into unfamiliar shores littered with disclaimers while entering the portals of this institution. The Institute has in its itinerary a wide variety of services in the areas of Spirituality, Family welfare, educational competencies, ecological concerns, inter-religious dialogue, women’s welfare, and the like. Its services for spiritual journals, Retreats, Counselling, Leadership training for Mentors and Guides provide excellent opportunities for growth and wellbeing. I have had the opportunity of going through a six-weeks programme for Formators covering various dimensions like Awareness Meditation and Relaxation, Psycho-sexual and spiritual Integration, barefoot or basic Counseling, Spiritual Direction, Yoga and Meditation etc. and enriched myself beyond my expectations. I feel confident to affirm that the Institute delivers all that it promises and that in an ambience of humaneness and cordiality. Further, I am of the opinion that training such as this of the Formators would go a long way to equip the Religious Formators of the Religious Congregations to accompany their young men and women living a society, laden crisscross with influences, wants and values created by sophisticated industries of glamour as well as the weird media. A gentle whisper, a positive intervention and an understanding gesture may serve as a pleasant interface for fidelity and fortitude in their journey and hence the need for the Training Institutes like the NAVJIVAN. I wish Navjivan every success in all its endeavours to enlighten and enliven men and women as Formators of varied charisms in the Church now and for the future.

The “Integral Training of Early Formators” arranged by Navjivan Renewal Centre, Delhi, has played very important role in my life. It has brought in me holistic human wellness. For many years, I could not understand myself “why I cried for unnecessary reasons”! The processing of meditation through drawing helped to know the root course and during psychosexual integration and personal Counselling I could deal with itin depth and at the end through AMR – Psychotherapy I am fully healed. This course changed my attitude toward self. I gained confidence, courage, and self-worth. I am grateful to God and Director Fr. George Mlakuzhyil SJ and Fr. George Peter SJ the Administrator who accompanied us all through the course and found joy in our growth. [Thank you Once again.]

I had been two and half months in NRC to do various courses, to attend workshops and to make a retreat. Yes, it is good to be in NRC to breath the fresh air and enjoy the refreshing greenery of the campus and to be alone with the Lord in the beautiful Chapel. I experienced the warm welcome of the Director and tender care of the Administrator. The “Effective Leadership” Course has changed me a lot. It taught me self-awareness, self-reliance, social skills, motivation, empathy, openness to the Divine Spirit and to others. I also learned the tasks of an effective leader. It helped me to create a long term vision and a better future to inspire people to do more and give their best to teach by example etc. I am very grateful to the resource persons and the staff members of NRC. Today what I am is because of them.
